Top Tips to Get the Most Out of the Ride
Pace yourself on the first half — it's easy to go out too hard. Save energy for the Clarendon climb and the final push home.
Ride in formation — stay single file on busier sections and communicate with hand signals for hazards and turns.
Fuel before you're hungry — eat your snack around mile 14-16 to keep energy levels consistent and avoid the dreaded bonk!
Use your gears efficiently — drop to an easier gear before the climb gets steep rather than struggling in a big gear.
Listen to your body — this is a guided, supported ride. If you need to slow down or stop, just shout out. We're all here to enjoy it.
"Cycling is not just a sport — it's a community. Every ride is a chance to go further, feel stronger, and make connections that last." — Darren, DK Personal Trainer
