🗺️ This Week's Featured Route: The Wiltshire Countryside Loop

This week we're tackling one of our favourite routes through the beautiful Wiltshire countryside — a 25-mile loop that takes in rolling hills, quiet country lanes, and breathtaking views across Salisbury Plain.

📍 Route Highlights

  • Start & Finish: Winterslow Village Green — easy parking available

  • Distance: 25 miles (approx. 2–2.5 hours at a comfortable pace)

  • Terrain: Mixed — mostly flat with two moderate climbs

  • Difficulty: Beginner-Intermediate (suitable for all fitness levels)

  • Scenic Stops: Old Sarum viewpoint, Pepperbox Hill, and a mid-ride café stop!

✅ What to Expect on the Ride

Our guided rides are relaxed, social, and inclusive. No one gets left behind! Here's what a typical ride looks like:

  1. Pre-ride briefing (10 mins) — route overview, safety checks, and group introductions

  2. Warm-up roll-out — easy pace for the first 2 miles to get everyone moving

  3. Main ride — guided at a comfortable group pace with regular check-ins

  4. Mid-ride café stop — 20-minute break for refreshments and a well-earned rest!

  5. Cool-down and stretch — post-ride mobility work to keep those legs fresh

💡 Top Tips for This Week's Ride

  • Hydration is key: Bring at least 2 water bottles — it's going to be a warm one!

  • Fuel up beforehand: Have a light meal or snack 1–2 hours before the ride

  • Wear layers: Mornings can be cool — a lightweight gilet or arm warmers are ideal

  • Check your bike: Tyres, brakes, and gears — a quick M-check before you leave home

  • Bring a snack: Energy bars, bananas, or gels for the mid-ride boost
